Launching well-crafted initiatives can be effective. At The Human Factor, we have found that the following systematic approach can enhance their impact:
- Create a baseline with a short survey (to identify potential issues and target your approach)
- Articulate the values and behaviours that should be reinforced and rewarded at the team level (in alignment with your organisation’s values and expectations)
- Design (as a team) a Team Charter
- Select ways of working and initiatives that will promote psychological safety
- Focus on leadership behaviours and styles that will amplify the positive impact of these ways of working
- Conduct targeted group sessions that focus on issues identified in the survey
- And follow up!
