Launching well-crafted initiatives can be effective. At The Human Factor, we have found that the following systematic approach can enhance their impact:

  1. Create a baseline with a short survey (to identify potential issues and target your approach)
  2. Articulate the values and behaviours that should be reinforced and rewarded at the team level (in alignment with your organisation’s values and expectations)
  3. Design (as a team) a Team Charter
  4. Select ways of working and initiatives that will promote psychological safety
  5. Focus on leadership behaviours and styles that will amplify the positive impact of these ways of working
  6. Conduct targeted group sessions that focus on issues identified in the survey
  7. And follow up!
